The deer limit in Georgia for the
2003-2004 hunting season is 10 antlerless deer and 2 antlered deer.
One of the two antlered deer must have a minimum of 4 points, 1
inch or longer, on one side of the antlers. There are no antler
restrictions for the other of the two antlered bucks except in counties
with special antler restrictions.

Deer killed on WMAs or NWRs requiring
check-out of harvested deer will be tagged with a special WMA/NWR
tag and do not count toward the season limit.

Firearm Deer Hunting in the Northern Zone:
October 27, 2003 - January 1, 2004 |

- All counties in the Northen Zone except: Clayton, Cobb,
DeKalb, that portion of Fulton lying north or GA Hwy. 92, and
that portion of Bibb County east of I-75 and I-475 to a line following
US Hwy 129 north to GA Southern and FL Railroad and north of Seaboard
Coastline Railroad to Twiggs County. Buck only except during either
sex days.
- In the portion of Bibb Countyfor firearm deer hunting
and in Forsyth County South of GA Hwy 20, only shotguns loaded
with buckshot and primitive weapons may be used (no other firearms
allowed).
- Antler restricitions in Hancock, Meriwether and Troup Counties:
Only antlered bucks with at least four points (one inch or longer)
on one side are legal.
- Either Sex Days for the following Northern Zone Counties:
Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, Rabun, and Whitfield Counties:

Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Habersham, Lumpkin, Walker, and White
Counties:

Bears may also be checked at any WMA check station in the
counties listed that arefor a managed deer hunt between
8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. during days of the hunt.

are advised to call the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Bird Banding
Laboratory at 1-800-327-BAND.
- Small Game Hunting Hunting season w/bag / posession

Bobcat and Fox

Dog hunting is allowed.
Bobcats and foxes may be hunted with small game
firearms by hunters using manual calls.

Electronic calls may be used for hunting coyotes, except
on WMAs.
Trapping
Dec. 1-Feb. 15 for mink, otter, fox, opossum, muskrat, skunk,
bobcat, and weasel.
Raccoons may be trapped only in that area south of Carroll,
Fulton, Gwinnett, Barrow, Jackson, Madison, and Elbert Counties.
There is no closed season for trapping beavers and coyotes.
